D97 Benefit Night at Ten Thousand Villages

Shop at Ten Thousand Villages-Oak Park on Thursday, December 20, 6pm-9pm, to benefit D97's Multicultural Resource Center. Ten Thousand Villages will donate 15% of Thursday evening's profits to the MCRC, which is home to thousands of fantastic artifacts, books, and resources about languages and cultures from around the world. Lynn Allen, MCRC Director, shares the center's treasures with D97 students and local groups to spread the word about multicultural awareness and diversity. She also organizes after-school programs and D97's Ethnic Fest. Have fun shopping!

Report Cards

Report cards went home yesterday.  The report card is yours to keep.  Please sign the envelope and return it to school.  Thanks to those of you who have already done so!

OPRF Food Pantry Drive

The Longfellow Student Council is sponsoring a PROTEIN and BABY & TOILETRY ITEM drive to benefit the Oak Park River Forest Food PantryThe students have set a goal of 1000 items. The deadline is Friday, 12/14.
The Food Pantry is asking for protein items such as peanut butter, canned meats, tuna, salmon and beans (canned or dry). In addition, baby items or toiletry items such as diapers, baby food, baby formula, bar soap, shampoo, and deodorant.  As always, any other non-perishable items are acceptable as well.

Cash and checks are welcome, too!
