End of the Year Picnic - Friday, May 31

Every year we celebrate the end of kindergarten with a day across the street at Longfellow Park.  We take advantage of the playground, field, and water pad.  If the weather warrants it, students are welcome to wear swimsuits.  Be sure to wear sunscreen, comfortable clothes, and possibly a hat.  Many students like to bring outdoor toys like balls, wiffle bats, frisbees, etc.  Families are welcome.  I'll let you know our schedule closer to the date.

Bummer!

We missed Family Reading Night due to the rain and flooding.  The end of the year is so busy, there are no available dates to make it up.  However, the Book Swap portion will take place Wednesday, May 1 during Sports Night.  You can still bring in books to donate if you wish.

A to Z Countdown

Please help your child on the days that he/she has to bring something in or have something prepared. (Those days are in bold.)   This list was compiled before our Rain Day in April, so this calendar is a day off, but we're going with the dates printed.

Unfortunately, D97 is not offering its usual School Daze summer school program this year.  Please see the district website for other Oak Park summer programs.  I hope you consider joining the library's annual summer reading program!  I'll pass along information about that as it becomes available.
